Leckhampton, Gloucestershire, March 26, 2024* –
The Spring Fayre at Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice hit it out of the park this year, bringing in over £11,000 to support families in need. Held near Cheltenham, the event drew crowds eager for a day of fun in the sun.
Kids and adults alike were treated to a lineup of entertainment that included performances by the local favorite, the Music Man, and activities like bouncing on a castle and scaling a climbing wall. And who could forget the Gloucestershire Troopers, roaming the grounds in their Storm Trooper gear, snapping selfies and collecting donations for the cause?
Big thanks go out to Perry Bishop, sponsors of the event, who put on games like a coconut shy and a “guess the house price” competition. Lucky winners walked away with hampers packed with goodies from The Bath Road traders.
Alysia Cameron-Price, the brains behind the Fayre, couldn’t be happier with the turnout. “A massive thank you to everyone who made it happen,” she says. “From our amazing volunteers to the folks who donated prizes, and of course, the local community who showed up and showed out – you’re all stars!”
With a record-breaking fundraising total, it’s clear that when the community comes together, amazing things can happen. And with every penny going towards supporting families during tough times, it’s a win-win for everyone involved.
