Long delays and one lane closed due to shed load of kerb stones and accident, lorry involved on M5 both ways from J10 A4019 (Cheltenham) to J9 A46 (Tewkesbury).
Congestion to J11 (Gloucester) for traffic heading Northbound. The Northbound A38 through Coombe Hill and Tewkesbury are also heavily congested as traffic seeks an alternative.

🚨 The route remains CLOSED due to flooding.
• Diversions remain in place
• Expect busier conditions via A40 / A48
• Avoid low-lying routes near the Severn where possible
Even if water levels appear lower, closures remain until highways inspections confirm routes are safe.
🚧 ROADWORKS & DELAYS
A38 – South Gloucestershire (Thornbury / Alveston Hill)
⚠️ Ongoing works are continuing to cause disruption in the area.
• Layout restrictions remain in place
• Overnight closures are likely
• Allow extra time if travelling towards Bristol
Forest of Dean – Lydney
⛔ The B4234 Forest Road remains closed long-term for major works (expected through to August).
